About Us
Connected to our Community
The Cubbyhouse Preschool & Occasional Care Centre was established in 1995. We are the first combined Pre School, Long Day Care and Occasional Care Centre to serve the families of the 2234 community. The Cubbyhouse Preschool & Occasional Care Centre is an Exceeding Rated, 29 place, not-for-profit, community-based Pre School, Long Day Care and Occasional Care centre.
The Cubbyhouse has been supporting the community for 30 years. We are located in the Community Hub of Menai, surrounded by 3 Bridges Community Centre, Menai Early Childhood Health Centre, Narrangy-Booris, Project Youth, Café Y and Menai Library. We have formed close relationships with Family Support and Child Protection agencies within the community and often work collaboratively with them to support families.

High-Quality, Longstanding Educators
Our educators are the heart of The Cubbyhouse.
With a deep love for early learning and strong ties to the local community, our educators are the heart of The Cubbyhouse. Each team member brings their own warmth, experience and dedication — creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported and ready to explore.
The educators at The Cubbyhouse are a testament to the centre itself and are long standing employees. It is evident that their commitment to early childhood is something that is highly sought after in the sector and the teamwork embedded in this service is something to be celebrated. We are very blessed to have such a passionate, dedicated and experienced team.
All educators have been chosen for their understanding of child development, experience in the early childhood sector, willingness to continually undertake training and professional development, as well as their genuine care and concern for the children in their care. All educators hold a current first aid certificate. Educators attend 2 or more in-service training courses per year and attend regular staff meetings to ensure their professional knowledge remains current.
